CMS 1.1 released

May 09, 2007 16:45, contributed by: seagull
Last week we released the next major version of the CMS module, 1.1:

overview:
http://trac.seagullproject.org/wiki/Modules/Cms

API:
http://trac.seagullproject.org/wiki/Modules/Cms/Api

direct download:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/seagull/cms-1.1.tar.gz?download

release notes:
http://trac.seagullproject.org/wiki/Modules/Cms/ReleaseNotes/1.1

Many new features have been added as detailed in the release notes
and we both feel the product is feature complete enough to use in
major commercial or personal projects. As before the advanced Ajax
features are only stable in Firefox, but these are only something
admins would use.

To install

  • ensure Publisher module is not installed
  • ensure Media module *is* installed
  • use with latest Seagull 0.6.2
  • preferably use with a fresh install of Seagull with no important data
After you click the 'install' link corresponding to the CMS module,
you will get a message, "please rebuild your Seagull to complete the
installation" linking to the Maintenance screen, follow this link,
hit the 'rebuild' button at the bottom with 'sample data' box checked.

Have fun and we very much look forward to your feedback!

cheers

Demian and Julien
