Seagull CMS 1.5 released

July 30, 2008 01:53, contributed by: seagull

Hot on the heals of 0.6.5 we have prepared an exciting new release of
the CMS module:

http://trac.seagullproject.org/wiki/Modules/Cms

A lot of exciting new features have been built into the 1.5 release,
here's  a quick overview:

 - it's now possible to import all your content from the old
Publisher module directly into CMS using a wizard
 - all Prototype javascript code in CMS has been converted to jquery
 - Content items are now sortable
 - Content Type screen is much more flexible
 - all browsers are now supported and editing screens are much
lighter as they use FCKeditor
 - Content items are now paginated
 - unique name checking on all new entered items
 - drag and drop ajax reordering of categories

And many bugs squashed, see more details here:

https://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=92482&release_id=615050

Also a dedicated CMS demo has been setup, check it out here:

Please use the latest version of Seagull to get the full benefits of
this release.

Many thanks to Seagull Systems clients who have bought Pro licenses,
this has really helped development, and to Laszlo Horvath who has been
working a lot on the project.

We expect to get 1.6 out quite soon where 2 new features are almost
complete:
 - i18n support (one content item in many langs)
 - tag support
